What a huge day, God really blessed through it all, good hands to be in!!

It started at 6 this morning, determined not to miss another day of walking I jumped up and headed out, my friend hit me on messenger and we had a delightful time chatting as I walked.  Later in the morning when her battery on her phone was dying we said goodbye.
I did quick research, set up files and headed out for Saratoga, a place that strikes fear in an appraiser's heart.  It is a place of very high values, of sports figures, big wigs in the Silicon Valley companies, Stanford Teachers etc.  The place I went to had an acre on a hillside, over 5400 sf of wonderful homes, of course pool, spa, vineyards, 4 car garage with a Red Tesla charging and a delightful house sitter.  A young black woman who is three weeks from delivering her first little one, she was so kind and helpful opening doors and pointing out where to go, it took over an hour and 1/2 to measure and at first one tenses up, its just overwhelming but then I've learned to face it like everything else, take a first step, measure one wall, get it on paper and just go from there so nows it all on paper and many photos later I've got it.  Then there is the process of finding and shooting the comps, they are located all over the area on narrow two lane roads, up private drives, on steep hills and at about 2:30 I was finally ready to drive to the next appointment in Santa Clara.  That proved to be a much more  normal home and after that I met Jason and Timothy at a Starbucks for a few minutes and then headed to Oakland.  That part of the trip up 880 proved to be very slow and arduous, finally at 6:25 I arrived there to do that one, then I drove to Mountain House to shoot three photos and arrived home at about 9:20.

Now its bed time and I'm so grateful to God for a safe and productive day.  He is very good to us in spite of our ways.

My friend always urges me to be careful and to stay blessed after she goes to bed at her time 11 but my time about 3 pm. She takes time to pray after we hang up and then goes to sleep.    I am praying that soon we can meet and be together, that is my prayer and I've repeated it over and over until I'm sure God is getting tired of hearing it.  But mostly I desire His will to be done.

Good night my friends and family,

Love

Rough day

Taking a minute to let you know not all days are good, this one has been rough from start to finish.

Work has piled up and the computer is working very slowly or not at all during the middle of the day, the web won't even connect part of the time.  Not good, this evening it seems better now.

On a personal level its hard to be apart.

God is still there but sometimes seems to be busier than other times.  He is good to me and I love and appreciate Him very much.

Would appreciate your prayers as they seem to carry us through from day to day.

Sending love to all, its the best thing we have, love.

A packed day, feels good!

Good evening

Well this has been a really busy day, work has picked up to a level that can cause stress at times.

I've enjoyed the rush of being busy and cranking out lots of work but I'm still behind at this point.  But I'm giving it up for today, tired and worn out.

Both on the personal level and the work level things are doing great.  When an appraiser is really busy everything happens faster because the mind is so in tune with what is needed.

I've enjoyed being on the phone with many people, clients today and enjoyed payment as well in the mail.

God is so good to us in spite of our willful and sinful ways.  I've learned a lot about taking things to God first from my special friend.  She just naturally turns to prayer and her knees when she needs to know what to do next or she needs help beyond what she can do.  Her influence has been very good to me reminding me of what I always knew but often forgot, to take it to the Lord in prayer.

Sending love to all,

Tim

Long day

Dear Faithful reader,

Its late I know, oh do I know.  Worked in this morning after walking, then went out this afternoon to Stockton to re inspect a property that another appraiser could not get back to, then to Manteca to see a huge home on a lake, covered in spiderwebs, I chased two huge spiders away and they snarled at me, I think I could hear them.  What a mess but a lovely home inside.  Chinese I think with  2 and 5 year old girls, so cute and curious about me.  It was hot and I was ready to get the job done and move on.  Then to Mountain House to see one with a  97 year old mother sitting in the kitchen, but not so much with us in reality, then a race against the sun to Brentwood, I had double booked and the lady wanted me to come no matter what.  It turned out OK, God held back the sun so I had enough light to get it done.

Then home to do paperwork for awhile.  now to bed and up early again tomorrow.

I love life but lately its been pretty challenging and emotionally stressing at times.  God is in control and that makes it OK.

Love to all

Tim

Sabbath

Day is dying in the west..... Its been a good day made better by friends at church and a special friend in London.
I woke at about 6:30 and found my friend on the messenger system.  We spent time together as I dressed and then headed out for my walk around the lake.  It was a glorious morning and the conversation was heated at times, other times just friendly. We are at a difficult time right now and its really time for us to be together.  Both of us have been wearing our knees out as we kneel by our beds and beg God for His answers and help.  I know as you know that God will answer and help us work everything out.

Can we count on your prayers as well.  Ellen and I have known each other for about 4 months and have enjoyed hundreds of hours of conversations, live Skype times and many phone calls yet we have not had a chance to meet in person. That we are looking forward to this week God willing.

I drove to Tracy SDA for the worship hour and I'm so glad I made it.  Judy told me as I entered the lobby that the new pastor was here today and looked a lot like Jason, even has a nice asian wife.  So I sat down and i did not find him to look much like Jason, why my Jason is much better looking!!  A dad speaking.  He preached today after Pastor Fargusson introduced him to the church family.  His sermon was very crisp and well formed.  His wife is lovely and a very inspiring lady too.  I think we are blessed with this new pastor choice.

Afterwards there was some finger food in the lobby and so I had lunch right there, no Olive Garden today.  Once in DB I went by and saw the kids for a minute, picked up my bike and Steve crammed in into the back of the car and I drove home.  I unloaded it and reassembled it.  Tomorrow morning I'll ride that same bike up to the Orowood Campground where the motorhome is being used.  I'll pick up the coach from the renter who promises to have it clean and tanks dumped at 11 am.  Then I'll drive it to the gas station at Safeway, fill it up for the next renter and drive home where I'll go on top and attempt to fill a leaking place, no fun for the next renters to experience rain in Texas and find a leak on his head!

Then at 2 pm the renter will come for the coach, pay me a lot of cash and leave for his two week trip which will cover about 2,000 miles I guess.  My prayers will be over them and the coach that all will go well for them on their trip.  They live nearby, about an hour away and will leave for their trip on Monday morning.

I am so blessed to have the coach rented like this.  It helps with the motorhome payment and insurance, license and all.

This evening I'll write up a report that is overdue.  It turned warm this afternoon so I'm holed up in the office with the little AC cranking away.  What a blessing these little dudes are, use almost no energy and yet cool the room very well.

Sending love to all,  God is good and He is good all the time.

4th

spent the 4th alone, now that is a fun experience let me tell you.

Started with a walk, talk with my friend on messenger and then eggs for breakfast. ate on the back deck.

Then decided to fix the dock so boats coming in stop at the docks edge not under the dock.  Spent hours in the water but it was warm and nice.  Got the dock fixed and picked up some trash and dog offerings.

Then had a wonderful surprise as my friend called me from London and we talked for several minutes.  It was so great to hear her voice instead of just text words.  Can't wait until she can be here with me.

We talked again this afternoon before she went to bed at 11 her time and then I took a nap, showered and went to dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory in Stockton, then drove down to Tracy for fireworks at the high school.  But they only lasted 8 minutes from start to finish.  Now I'm home and ready for bed.

We live in a wonderful country and have a very great God, we are blessed indeed.

Love

Tim

Please pray that it can work out that my friend and I can finally be together.

Motorhome rental season begins

Well tonight renters are enjoying the motorhome right here at Orowood resort, just a few miles from Discovery Bay.  They people are super nice and are here through Sunday.  On Sunday morning I'll pick up the coach at 11, then drive it home and detail it before the next renter comes at 2 pm.  He will take it to his home in Newman and load it for the trip which begins the next day to Texas so for the next two weeks it will be a very busy coach as it scoots across the country.  then it is home for week or so and then leaves with a French family for a two or three week trip.  Then it is home for a week and then goes to Burning Man for 10 day rental.  God has blessed as these rentals will help pay the monthly payment and insurance.

Once I had the coach delivered today Steve and Kallie brought me back home.  I had a chance to chat with my friend for the next hour and then I left for San Leandro where I inspected a very nice home this afternoon.  I expected awful traffic for my return trip but I drove 70 most of the time all the way home.

A quick stop at Safeway yielded a bunch of groceries and then after unloading them at home I relaxed in my work chair for awhile.

Once again its been a great day to be alive.

Love to all,

Tim
