Blessed day

We walked three miles this morning in the beautiful crisp air, Pooka is walking with a limp now and she is nearing the end of her walking days but oh she loves it and hates to be left behind.
After the walk and the shower I headed for the Tracy SDA church.  A few minutes after I sat down in the pew Calvin Taylor took over the service, he is one fine musician on the piano and led the worship hour with beautiful renditions of many of the greats, songs we have all known and loved.  It was a great service and I was so glad to be there to enjoy it and worship a very wonderful God who in spite of our weaknesses loves us deeply and totally.

After church was completed I drove to Milpitas and enjoyed lunch with Timothy, Mia, Jo and Jason at the Macaroni Grill.  The food was very good and it was so nice to see everyone.  What precious grandchildren I have and I pray for them every night.

Now I'm trying to make sense out of a very highly stacked pile of files, all needing to be written and completed as soon as possible, I feel overwhelmed to be really honest here on these pages.  I love to be busy and productive but overwhelmed is another thing totally.  Yet I know God is not overwhelmed and He will help me, I know that.

I do ask for your prayers, I appreciate people remembering me in their prayers and I know God cares deeply for each of us.

What a great gift the Sabbath is...........

Love to all

what a day

My friends and family

This has been a day of progress, first thing this morning I set up all the orders, wow, what a bunch.  Give you an idea.  I now have over 100 orders and I did less than 400 all last year for the year!  Any idea why I'm busy now/\\\

so thankful for work, just need  God's guidance in how to deal with it all.

Today has been very productive and for that I'm thankful very much, I 've had some good advice on how to handle things and its paid off.

I'm scheduled through the next week now, working in the office for 3 days and out every other day seeing properties.

Sending love to all,

Pray that my brother Jerry who is here visiting will get feeling better, he has a really bad cold.

What a week

This has been a week of trying, trying to get orders set up, trying to get them scheduled and then trying to get out and make the day work seeing 4 to 6 properties and driving 200 miles without an accident.  God has been so good to me this week, I feel His protection often even as I'm raving at some little old lady or man who is driving 25 in the fast lane and holding up the progress of the world.

I've seen $120K condos and 2.5 million masterpieces, 37 acre ranches and postage stamp properties as well.  Jessy has been a huge help and my neighbor Gary has come forward to say he would like to help, only problem is getting him trained to be of real help, that is the issue.  Still I've been begging God for answers and short of using the Indian write up service in actual India at $15 an appraisal, which I'm opposed to on emotional grounds I have this stack of reports that need to be completed and its growing.

Yet life is good.  Yesterday Jerry my brother came down to visit and he rode with me today, no lunch and a very long day but we ended up at Spaghetti Factory tonight and had a nice meal.

So I praise God for His goodness and His guidance to me this week, for Jerry visiting, that a friend found a job that was needed so badly, for work to keep me busy and for checks that arrive nearly every day.

Enjoy the Sabbath and love the family that God surrounded you with, love them while you can because when they are gone its a very cold and sober world you are left with.

Sending love

Buried

Midnight and its been a very long day.

yesterday was great, took Keanna to church and then in the afternoon took both Keanna and Kallie to Jason and Jo's where I watched all four little ones while both sets of parents enjoyed an evening without kids for a change.

We got home about 11:30 last night.  It was so good and the kids were wonderful to each other.

Been cranking all day today and now I'm very tired, still have a stack to write up that is about 6 inches deep.  With lower interest rates there are lots of orders and I am swamped.

Would appreciate your prayers that my health will hold up under the stress level.

Love to all

and it idid rain for sure

I know we need the rain and I agree, the hills along Vasco Road are so beautiful right now with green everywhere and the cows are so happy!  This afternoon they were running across the hillside kicking up their heels.  Was sort of beautiful to see.

I made appointments today to see two properties and both came during down pours so I got a bit wet, not bad but the sheet I was writing on was very wet, not fun to make out later.

But its OK, we get so little rain that I only end up measuring a few homes in the rain each year, enough to keep me very humble.

Now I'm sitting here feeling the wind outside and the rain, a real storm is upon us tonight.

Heading for bed, have had a couple very late night lately and I'm worn out totally and also the weight has been creeping back up so I need to rekindle whatever worked a year ago and dump about 20 pounds, I felt better and was more able to work then.  Its time once again.

God is good, right now I have so many orders I can't begin to give each one the attention it fully deserves and I'm just trying to work my way through the flood of work that has hit since rates dropped below 4% once again.

Sending love to all, pastor gave a great sermon on Sabbath, one that was so easy to follow yet profound to contemplate.  We have a great new pastor, in fact all our pastors have been outstanding over the past years.  Love them all.

Good

No matter what happens there are still good moments in our lives, most moments are filled with work for me and driving but I make it better by listening to great books, I just finished one by Jeffry ARcher, incredibly good book, I hated to have it end, such a great story, now I want more by him, solid writer and great story teller.

I'm dead now, been at this for about 14 hours and I'm ready for some rest.

Been to Brentwood, Lathrop, Discovery bay (the Lakes) and dinner at Olive Garden in Tracy, soup and salad and it tasted like a feast.

Love to all

God is our best friend and if we could only begin to love like He does we would be so much happier and so would our family and friends be too.

Busy day - blessed with safety

Its midnight and I'm going to bed now.

Climbed out at 6 this morning after finishing work at 12:30 last night.

I was in Walnut Creek at 8:30 this morning measuring a house with many angles, not so much fun, on a side hill too.

Then I went to Lafayette to see a 1.6 million dollar house, that one was really nice, then on to Morgan Hill to see a house with sheep, sheep that ran the last lady appraiser away, they attacked her and she quit the assignment completely,  I had no sheep issues today but met a very nice guy, the owner.

Then I fought traffic all the way home, not fun but I had a safe day, am listening to a very interesting book, sure helps pass the time.

Live is work these days, real work, took over an hour this evening to set up all the new orders that came in.

so thankful for God's blessings

Love to all

The right team won

I did not let myself watch the game or even learn the score until it was totally over but I was thrilled when Seattle lost.  I've found their attitude so inferior to that of the 49ers when they were winning, gracious, kind and we could all be proud of them but some of the Seahawks have ruined it for all in my humble opinion.  And to think one of them would try to pick a fight in the last seconds of the game.  Ever hear about a Rice or a Young or a Montana doing that?  Don't think so.  so I'm glad they lost.

Today I've won.  For once I set Sunday appointments and by 10 I was on the road having taken a short walk in which Pooka tried to start a fight with every dog that passed!  It was so cold and foggy that the warm house felt great when I got home.  Then after a quick bowl of Oatmeal, banana and 1/2 of a whole wheat bagel I felt ready to hit the road.

The first house was a little place in El Sobrante, over by Richmond, nice people and two little kids were doing a yard sale across the street, 7 and 5 years old, so cute so I bought some bowls, at first the little boy said they would be 35 dollars but settled for 5 dollars later on. cute kids to be sure.

Then I drove to Livermore where a young family is selling a very nicely fixed up house.  A cute little 3 year old girl who her dad said was going on 13 followed me around and told me what to do, really a fun experience.  Then I left to go back to Walnut Creek where on the way the owner called to tell me that the last two appraisals done in the last month had both come in around 1.5 million.  well the place was certainly nice to be sure, I'll tell you that, seems every city has some areas for really great homes and high values.  Once finished with this one I came home the back roads through the city of Clayton and then Byron.  I was glad to be home again after a rather long day.

You know I am so thankful for safety and the chance to come home in one piece.  I really thank God for His care for me and for work to do.  I feel so blessed and I just hope I can keep doing what I do for a few years still.

Sending love to all,
