Long day, God is still good

It started before 6 and is ending now at 10, I walked, ate quickly and then inspected a house locally in Discovery Bay, then back to work in the office and wrestle with finances and getting reports written,  this evening I drove to Walnut Creek and inspected a really nice townhome, better be nice for $820,000.  Then after dark I slipped home, traffic has disappeared and the trip was pleasant with conversations with Pam, Jason and Jerry, miles slip by when you are having a nice conversation as you drive.

Tomorrow will be a day of accomplishment, I hope.  Need to get caught up and that means settling down and cranking out work.  God has been good enough to supply work, I need to get it done for the clients.

God is helping on the personal level too.  I enjoy conversations with Ellen and always learn new things about what she thinks or knows.

Love to all,

tim

Good sabbath

Such a warm but nice day today.

Walked this morning in the cool 6:30 air, then picked up the girls and we went to church.  They had such fun and the people at the church are just great at what they do with the little ones.

Had dinner this evening at UNO's in Antioch and then came home.

Had two times today with my friend over messenger and enjoyed both very much.  She is feeling better now but is sleeping a lot to recover.

Right now I'm sleepy so I think I'll wrap us now.

Sending love to all,

Tim

Great week

In spite of ups and downs this has been a great week.  For a guy when he has work and can get it done that causes a great sense of accomplishment and gives him satisfaction.  Well I've had that kind of week.

Today was walk, eat, run to Stockton to see a house, then re inspect for an appraiser who cannot get back, then back to the office to write up a report, then to Livermore and then to Concord this evening.

I celebrated an excellent week with a dinner at Old Spaghetti Factory.  Now I'm home and heading to bed.

My friend Ellen and I spent some time together through Messenger today and caught up on our friendship. It was very nice.

Please pray that God will bless in both of hour lives so His will is done.

Taking girls to SS tomorrow, can't wait.

Love to all

Enjoy the Sabbath, God's special gift to His children.

Good day, long and productive

Up early, walked the walk, prepared for the day, set up orders (praise God for them), did research for the day and then set out for Rio Vista where I say a beautiful home on the golf course, then on to Fairfield where I re inspected a home, found a Starbucks for a bathroom and a multi grain bagel and a decaf Americano over ice, so good and nearly free of calories.  Then to Napa to a very sad situation.  The owner was a 90 year old lady who was on Coumadin and something happened and she bled out on the bedroom floor, carpets were cut up and missing from the police investigation.  Daughter was there for the first time in the house and she was having a hard time, so spent some time helping her cope.

Then the fun of the day, called Dolly and Ken and we had dinner together at the Olive Garden in Vallejo, great meal, great fellowship with worlds wonderful people!  Dolly and her husband Howard took Nan and me on and taught us the appraisal profession many years ago.  We are always grateful for what they gave us, this valuable profession. Dolly is a powerful prayer warrior and came many times to pray over Nan on special situations over the years.  What a true friend she has been.

Then I drove home and arrived here without much traffic.  I feel blessed, my friend Ellen prays for my safety on the roads and while I am working, its something she can do to help out.  I appreciate the chances I get during the day to have brief chats with her.

This has been a very good day and now I'm heading to bed.  God is good and like pastor Jessica used to say, God is good, all the time.  It is really true, if you ever get the chance to read the little book about The Shack, it has some of the worlds best description of God's love and how different it is from our love, how I want to love like God loves, don't you.

God bless you everyone,

Love

A hard days work and success too

Good evening,
What a nice day!  Up at 7 and walking around the lake, chatting with my friend, greeting people I see every day, its all good and I love the new lifestyle.

I'm not shy about telling people I've dropped 50 pounds, reason, perhaps someone else will give it a try and they too can pass it on.  People at the church did that for me, several people who had taken on the challenge of losing weight and regaining life, they inspired me and never preached to me and when I found the formula I too lost the weight.  I was inspired by Jason's meal that night after the hospital, inspired by the women who were in my life and never bugged me but just lived beautiful lives, thin and in shape and it was inspiring to me, pushed on by my success, its good stuff when the weight begins to drop off, when the habits change to no snacks instead of constant snacks, when the A1C drops from 10.7 to 8.1, that helps too.  When the ratio drops from 40 to 25 or 26 every day, the ratio of fat to muscle in the body.

I will say this, if I can do this, emotional, moody, ill tempered at times Tim can do this then anyone can do it, but you just have to find the right time, the right moment to start and the right mind set, be healthy, not dump weight but be healthy and feel better, that goal works, I know.

I've written reports today, set up orders and logged out payments, all in all its been a very good day and now I'm ready for bed.

So I'm sending love to a few very special people, these people I pray for every night, Bob, Glen, Bernice and Barbara Lammerding, Ken and Dolly (Vogel), Jason and Jo, Steve and Nikki, Connie and Art and Sibyl my sister.  Occupying much time in my prayers is Ellen, my special friend who I have come to care for very much.

In the love of Jesus

An excellent day!

I didn't make it to bed until 1:20 this morning, that appraisal took longer than I had planned and then of course I kept jumping up to go make a hot drink or get water or any number of things.  Hard to hold still.

When I rolled out this morning it was 7 and I raced to get outside and walk, During the night a bit of rain had fallen and the air smelled great.  My friend Ellen caught up with me as I walked and by the miracle of Yahoo Messenger we chatted for awhile.  She was coming down with a bad cold so didn't feel very well so in time she begged off and went to sleep.  She mostly slept all the day but was kind enough to check in about 6 this evening and that was great.  She was feeling some better and the chicken soup helped but the meds she took were making her very sleepy and drowsy.

I worked hard this morning setting up several new orders and then heading to San Leandro for a 3:30 appointment, it was a new order that came in and of course they need it in a rush.  Then I fought traffic to Livermore and did a little single bedroom condo sale.  The project is not that nice but the unit had been totally updated and was very nice.  I've been home for awhile and decided on a lovely yellow peach, it was ripe to perfection and was cold and delicious.  What a perfect feast thanks to God's bounty.  I had an ear of corn for lunch and salad with fresh tomatoes cut up in it.  For a crunch I added whole wheat thins that I crunched in my hands.  Nice touch and it was all very good.

Right now I'm heading to bed, ready for a longer night of sleep instead of the very short night last night.

Sending love to all and thanking God for always being there for us, no matter what He is there and cares in a way that is totally superior to the way we humans care.

Good evening

Hi
This has been a productive day with many reports written and shipped out and a safe return of the motorhome from its two week trip.

The motorhome came back this afternoon and the renters had done so many little repairs, cleaned the coach to perfection and were very pleased with the way it worked.  All in all a very good experience,  they gassed up at Costco in Tracy, dumped the tanks and just could not have been nicer people to work with.

Thank you God for a safe rental.

So now I'm on my way to bed, God is good to us and is still very active in our lives.

Love to all

Another day

I'm heading to bed sad tonight, it happens in relationships and Ellen did not come today, another hitch developed and it will be Monday afternoon at the earliest now and that has me hoping she will ever be able to come to me.

Yet I know God is good and cares for all His children no matter where they are.  I've spent more time on my knees in the last few months than ever before but I can't say I feel that close all the time. I try to listen to the small voice that guides but I often don't hear the voice at all.

This afternoon the girls got their awards for the swim program they have been involved with this summer.  They both did very well and enjoyed their experiences a lot.  They are certainly good swimmers now and that is the very best part.  The ceremony went for a very long time but about 100 people were there to enjoy the whole deal.  I had hoped Ellen would be there but it was not to be so it was bitter sweet for me, another missed opportunity to be part of the family.

God loves us all,

I send my love to you

Friday evening and all is well

Good evening friends and family.

This evening I would like to report that God is doing well and at His post to help all mankind in spite of terrible events and a very sinful world.

My friend Ellen is doing well and very well may travel to meet me tomorrow.  We have been working toward that goal for some time and God has helped us in so many unusual ways along the way.

This has been a very good day with lots of work accomplished, the weather was blessedly cool at just 85 or so and money came in through direct deposit as well as being handed to me as well.  Today for the very first time I did a direct deposit using my IPhone and my bank app.  It went right into the account from my car.  Nifty little app.

This evening Lois came over with soup and we ate on the back deck in the cool evening breezes.  It was very nice.  Lois is looking forward to meeting Ellen, actually all my family and friends are looking forward to meeting Ellen, most have believed she would never make it and up to this point they are right, she is not here but perhaps tomorrow may change that fact.

This afternoon I was able to finally finish an appraisal of a fine home in Saratoga Hills.  It was over 5,000 sf and on an acre.  Lets just say it is worth multi million dollars and most of the purchased in the area for the last year have been CASH purchases, not even a loan.  Amazing how much money there is how there floating around.

Its nice that the Sabbath has arrived.

Love to all

Tim

Good evening

Dear Friends and Family
Could sure use your prayers tomorrow, as usual I'm sure of the outcome but most obstacles to our being together have been removed so tomorrow becomes a rather big day.  Would you pray that God will lead in the way He knows best?  Ellen and I would appreciate that very much.

Today has been a work day, inspected a nice home here in DB this morning while it was cool, worked in the office the rest of the day and enjoyed some success.  Very thankful for the work that comes in and a new order came in today that I'll see tomorrow and pays cash on the spot, wowow.  Love money on the spot.

Thank you for your friendship,

Love to all,

Tim

The girls come to brighten the day

They arrived at 11 and as usual came in with much excitement and job.  They settled in and made it a good day.  Keanna mostly does her IPad (mine) and Kallie picks tomatoes, washes them, washes everything in sight in the kitchen, creates a show with Pooka, the unwilling actor, bothers her sister some and the two of them always create a lively scene.

I was cranking on some appraisals and they let me work.  I enjoyed several excellent times with my significant other who is in Chicago right now and is heading this way soon.  This evening we had a very good sessions as we talked about creating things in the kitchen and I broke the news that I don't like raw onions.  She understood that.

Now I'm back to writing reports again and have the kitchen clean and tidy.

Life is pretty good and will be so much better when Ellen can join me.  Please pray that all the barriers will be broken and she can come even tomorrow, it would be wonderful.

Sending love to all,

Tim

ps so glad Jason survived his sleep study last night.  Those are brutal experiences to go through.

A Solid Day

Good evening family and friends,
This has been a really good day, things are coming together here and there in my life and for that I am very grateful.

Up and walked this morning, then waded into work in the office and before long it was time for lunch, made a great lunch with white corn, whole wheat tortilla with cheese, fresh tomatoes cut up, salad with more tomatoes.  what a feast and all very good for me.

Got word today that my blood is too thick, 1.7 and the A1C was 8.2, needs to be 7 or less so I still have some work but much better than the 10.7 at its worst.  God is good.

This afternoon saw a property in Pleasanton at 3:03, nice but it was hot, went fast and he had the inside of the home very nice and cool, then on over to Livermore where I did a little purchase that they are paying me $505 to do, have no reason why so high but I guess you can guess that they will have it back tomorrow for that kind of price.

Just did an open lot here in Discovery Bay and now I'm in for the evening to work until I drop.  Last night it was midnight when I went to bed and I was up at 6 this morning wide awake.

Life is certainly interesting these day and I'm loving it, in spite of ups and downs and some tough times its so much better than being bored!

God is good, all the time.

Love

A night of waiting

Tonight I'm just asking God for His help.  My friend boarded a plane last this evening in London and is flying this way, she said the next time she would call me was when she landed in the States and its too soon for her plane to have arrived yet.  But we can't find any planes that left London, at least British Airways planes, that left in that time slot.  They were going to try to get her on a plane so she might be flying on another airline that we are unaware of but I'm left wondering when I will hear from her, she asked me to keep the phone close to my ear so I would not miss her call and I'll certainly do just that.  So if you are reaching this shortly after I'm writing it please join me in prayer that God can do what we humans cannot do, help figure this mystery out.  I'm waiting to drive to the SFO airport and meet her once she arrives but at this point I'm not sure when that will be.

Thanks for your prayers, they are important.

Love

Tim

Tough day today

This one was tough in nearly every way.  But I'm still on my feet and alive now.

Work is still stacking up and people are getting impatient with my lack of progress.  But God is good and I managed to get a lot out today as well.

My friend and I talked for awhile while I was walking the lake this morning and then later in the day as well.  We hope to be together soon God willing.

This evening I had dinner with Jason and the kiddos plus Clayton, Jo's brother at Olive Garden at the Great Mall in Milpitas.  That was fun.  Timothy is turning 7 tomorrow and will have a nice party on Sunday.  Should be a blast to enjoy.

Well its bed time now, sending love to all,

Tim

Enjoy your Sabbath

What a huge day, God really blessed through it all, good hands to be in!!

It started at 6 this morning, determined not to miss another day of walking I jumped up and headed out, my friend hit me on messenger and we had a delightful time chatting as I walked.  Later in the morning when her battery on her phone was dying we said goodbye.
I did quick research, set up files and headed out for Saratoga, a place that strikes fear in an appraiser's heart.  It is a place of very high values, of sports figures, big wigs in the Silicon Valley companies, Stanford Teachers etc.  The place I went to had an acre on a hillside, over 5400 sf of wonderful homes, of course pool, spa, vineyards, 4 car garage with a Red Tesla charging and a delightful house sitter.  A young black woman who is three weeks from delivering her first little one, she was so kind and helpful opening doors and pointing out where to go, it took over an hour and 1/2 to measure and at first one tenses up, its just overwhelming but then I've learned to face it like everything else, take a first step, measure one wall, get it on paper and just go from there so nows it all on paper and many photos later I've got it.  Then there is the process of finding and shooting the comps, they are located all over the area on narrow two lane roads, up private drives, on steep hills and at about 2:30 I was finally ready to drive to the next appointment in Santa Clara.  That proved to be a much more  normal home and after that I met Jason and Timothy at a Starbucks for a few minutes and then headed to Oakland.  That part of the trip up 880 proved to be very slow and arduous, finally at 6:25 I arrived there to do that one, then I drove to Mountain House to shoot three photos and arrived home at about 9:20.

Now its bed time and I'm so grateful to God for a safe and productive day.  He is very good to us in spite of our ways.

My friend always urges me to be careful and to stay blessed after she goes to bed at her time 11 but my time about 3 pm. She takes time to pray after we hang up and then goes to sleep.    I am praying that soon we can meet and be together, that is my prayer and I've repeated it over and over until I'm sure God is getting tired of hearing it.  But mostly I desire His will to be done.

Good night my friends and family,

Love

Rough day

Taking a minute to let you know not all days are good, this one has been rough from start to finish.

Work has piled up and the computer is working very slowly or not at all during the middle of the day, the web won't even connect part of the time.  Not good, this evening it seems better now.

On a personal level its hard to be apart.

God is still there but sometimes seems to be busier than other times.  He is good to me and I love and appreciate Him very much.

Would appreciate your prayers as they seem to carry us through from day to day.

Sending love to all, its the best thing we have, love.

A packed day, feels good!

Good evening

Well this has been a really busy day, work has picked up to a level that can cause stress at times.

I've enjoyed the rush of being busy and cranking out lots of work but I'm still behind at this point.  But I'm giving it up for today, tired and worn out.

Both on the personal level and the work level things are doing great.  When an appraiser is really busy everything happens faster because the mind is so in tune with what is needed.

I've enjoyed being on the phone with many people, clients today and enjoyed payment as well in the mail.

God is so good to us in spite of our willful and sinful ways.  I've learned a lot about taking things to God first from my special friend.  She just naturally turns to prayer and her knees when she needs to know what to do next or she needs help beyond what she can do.  Her influence has been very good to me reminding me of what I always knew but often forgot, to take it to the Lord in prayer.

Sending love to all,

Tim

Long day

Dear Faithful reader,

Its late I know, oh do I know.  Worked in this morning after walking, then went out this afternoon to Stockton to re inspect a property that another appraiser could not get back to, then to Manteca to see a huge home on a lake, covered in spiderwebs, I chased two huge spiders away and they snarled at me, I think I could hear them.  What a mess but a lovely home inside.  Chinese I think with  2 and 5 year old girls, so cute and curious about me.  It was hot and I was ready to get the job done and move on.  Then to Mountain House to see one with a  97 year old mother sitting in the kitchen, but not so much with us in reality, then a race against the sun to Brentwood, I had double booked and the lady wanted me to come no matter what.  It turned out OK, God held back the sun so I had enough light to get it done.

Then home to do paperwork for awhile.  now to bed and up early again tomorrow.

I love life but lately its been pretty challenging and emotionally stressing at times.  God is in control and that makes it OK.

Love to all

Tim

Sabbath

Day is dying in the west..... Its been a good day made better by friends at church and a special friend in London.
I woke at about 6:30 and found my friend on the messenger system.  We spent time together as I dressed and then headed out for my walk around the lake.  It was a glorious morning and the conversation was heated at times, other times just friendly. We are at a difficult time right now and its really time for us to be together.  Both of us have been wearing our knees out as we kneel by our beds and beg God for His answers and help.  I know as you know that God will answer and help us work everything out.

Can we count on your prayers as well.  Ellen and I have known each other for about 4 months and have enjoyed hundreds of hours of conversations, live Skype times and many phone calls yet we have not had a chance to meet in person. That we are looking forward to this week God willing.

I drove to Tracy SDA for the worship hour and I'm so glad I made it.  Judy told me as I entered the lobby that the new pastor was here today and looked a lot like Jason, even has a nice asian wife.  So I sat down and i did not find him to look much like Jason, why my Jason is much better looking!!  A dad speaking.  He preached today after Pastor Fargusson introduced him to the church family.  His sermon was very crisp and well formed.  His wife is lovely and a very inspiring lady too.  I think we are blessed with this new pastor choice.

Afterwards there was some finger food in the lobby and so I had lunch right there, no Olive Garden today.  Once in DB I went by and saw the kids for a minute, picked up my bike and Steve crammed in into the back of the car and I drove home.  I unloaded it and reassembled it.  Tomorrow morning I'll ride that same bike up to the Orowood Campground where the motorhome is being used.  I'll pick up the coach from the renter who promises to have it clean and tanks dumped at 11 am.  Then I'll drive it to the gas station at Safeway, fill it up for the next renter and drive home where I'll go on top and attempt to fill a leaking place, no fun for the next renters to experience rain in Texas and find a leak on his head!

Then at 2 pm the renter will come for the coach, pay me a lot of cash and leave for his two week trip which will cover about 2,000 miles I guess.  My prayers will be over them and the coach that all will go well for them on their trip.  They live nearby, about an hour away and will leave for their trip on Monday morning.

I am so blessed to have the coach rented like this.  It helps with the motorhome payment and insurance, license and all.

This evening I'll write up a report that is overdue.  It turned warm this afternoon so I'm holed up in the office with the little AC cranking away.  What a blessing these little dudes are, use almost no energy and yet cool the room very well.

Sending love to all,  God is good and He is good all the time.

4th

spent the 4th alone, now that is a fun experience let me tell you.

Started with a walk, talk with my friend on messenger and then eggs for breakfast. ate on the back deck.

Then decided to fix the dock so boats coming in stop at the docks edge not under the dock.  Spent hours in the water but it was warm and nice.  Got the dock fixed and picked up some trash and dog offerings.

Then had a wonderful surprise as my friend called me from London and we talked for several minutes.  It was so great to hear her voice instead of just text words.  Can't wait until she can be here with me.

We talked again this afternoon before she went to bed at 11 her time and then I took a nap, showered and went to dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory in Stockton, then drove down to Tracy for fireworks at the high school.  But they only lasted 8 minutes from start to finish.  Now I'm home and ready for bed.

We live in a wonderful country and have a very great God, we are blessed indeed.

Love

Tim

Please pray that it can work out that my friend and I can finally be together.

Motorhome rental season begins

Well tonight renters are enjoying the motorhome right here at Orowood resort, just a few miles from Discovery Bay.  They people are super nice and are here through Sunday.  On Sunday morning I'll pick up the coach at 11, then drive it home and detail it before the next renter comes at 2 pm.  He will take it to his home in Newman and load it for the trip which begins the next day to Texas so for the next two weeks it will be a very busy coach as it scoots across the country.  then it is home for week or so and then leaves with a French family for a two or three week trip.  Then it is home for a week and then goes to Burning Man for 10 day rental.  God has blessed as these rentals will help pay the monthly payment and insurance.

Once I had the coach delivered today Steve and Kallie brought me back home.  I had a chance to chat with my friend for the next hour and then I left for San Leandro where I inspected a very nice home this afternoon.  I expected awful traffic for my return trip but I drove 70 most of the time all the way home.

A quick stop at Safeway yielded a bunch of groceries and then after unloading them at home I relaxed in my work chair for awhile.

Once again its been a great day to be alive.

Love to all,

Tim
