F R I D A Y

Can it really be?  Oh yes it is.

Another solid work day, up at 6, cram out work until noon, leave for Oakland.  The new GPS reads the traffic so at first said I would take two hours to arrive, not good as my appointment was at 1:30 but I set out.  Gradually the traffic must have cleared because I arrived with 2 minutes to spare.  Lovely home, great lady, moving to Dallas for her husbands work with AT&T.  Excited about Texas but leaving a beautiful home, just 55 steps from the Claremont District of Oakland where special shops and special places to eat abound.

Upon leaving I headed back to Discovery Bay to see another sale but East European Auto Repair called to say the bug was ready, only $350, I was so relieved.  I had visions of a worn out turbo but instead it was a small pressure relief value that directs diesel back to the tank when the pressure gets to high.  It was broken and had moved to the point where it no longer help pressure in the lines.  They also found that 292,000 miles causes tiny little pipes to begin to crack and fail so they cleaned it all up with new parts.  They also replaced the wrong outside air temperature sensor with the correct one and tonight as I drove home I knew it was 84 outside.  For some reason that is important to me.

I had a harvester, a garden burger really, at Nations tonight and it was so good.  Now I'm home ready to settle in, I'm very grateful to a loving and forgiving Heavenly Father for the work, the energy to do it and for the safety afforded me as I drove a couple thousand miles this week.  Its been a special treat to have the Civic since it has automatic and is a much more gentle car.

Tomorrow Kallie has her birthday party at a ranch where all the kiddos can ride a pony.  She loves horses, in fact some of her gifts involved horses so this party will be very special for her.  I'll get to see the whole family as Jason and Jo are coming with the precious cousins.  I can't wait.

Well faithful ready, I'm hoping that your weekend will be special, peaceful and meaningful with lots of time to touch, express kind words and enjoy your blessings.

KALLIE TURNS FIVE

And graduates from pre K to fully blown K.  It was a great evening, we sat near the front and enjoyed watching and Kallie and a lot of other children as they sang and verbalized little sayings, then graduated.

Once we were through we drove over to the local Pizza place and had Kallie's birthday party, the family one, next Sabbath she celebrates at a farm with ponies to ride.  From papa she received her first American Girl, she seemed to love it, she got lots of special things she has been hoping for and we all had a great time.

Now I'm back to do a bit more work and fall asleep.  Its been a high pressure day once again, who in the world schedules these big days?  Well its me.

I rose at 6 after having a great night, a great night for me is when I don't wake up, I don't dream to much and I don't even remember going to bed.

After a quick breakfast I did a couple conditions and then headed out to Richmond.  Now going to Richmond at 8 in the morning is filled with potential problems, I hit them all, a dead car on the freeway, road construction in several places but I arrived about 10 minutes late.

In Richmond in the last few years various attempts have been made to build new homes right in the middle of trashed homes and in the roughest part of town.  This was a nearly new home with boarded up windows, to keep looters out until the new owners can move in.  The home was in good condition and the visit went well.

The second Richmond appointment involved two houses on one parcel, not easy to find comparable sales for.  The outside of the house looked only average and the neighborhood was iffy but the inside of both of the homes was totally different, very good condition.

Once I drove the comps for this property, it involved driving miles both ways to find those comps that exist, then I hit Highway 80 for a quick trip to Antioch.  In Antioch I found a serious owner, a scientist who normally works in San Francisco who took the day off so I could come inspect.  The home was perfect in every way and as a hobby this guy records music, one room is filled with musical keyboards and recorders.  He knows of Seventh-day Adventists, has visited the local church and we had a pleasant time.

It was now about 2 pm and I headed across the Antioch bridge to Rio Vista, a tiny little town made famous by Humphry, the wayward whale who ventured all the way up the river to Rio Vista before finally heading back out to sea.  For this visit I had a code and special instructions as the home was a REO, real estate owned, meaning by the bank.

After I left that cute little town I headed back across the river and to Kaiser where I picked up some needed meds, I was out of the blood thinners I still take.  missing a day of meds could be very serious and could lead to a stroke as the blood would suddenly become much thicker.  That stop took some time but worked out well.

Then it was on to Discovery Bay to wrap Kallie's doll, of course I was out of paper so after doing yet another appraisal inspection in Discovery Bay for a private individual I went to CVS, got paper and a cute card that sings, went home to wrap the doll and then raced to All God's Children where Kallie was to graduate from pre k.  I made it on time and Nikki and Steve joined me to enjoy the program.  I'd say the day went pretty well, all safe and sound and still waiting to hear how bad the bug is going to be to fix.  Could be the injector pump, they don't last forever or could be as simple as the fuel filter.  Its in God's hands.

Sending love to all,

Tim

Keanna and Summer wake up the house

Today Keanna came to visit, now this 10 year old dynamo is really something to observe.  She is in the kitchen whipping up strawberries and sugar, lots of it, in the blender, she is doing homework, playing with the mini ipad, hinting broadly that it really belongs at her house and just being generally crazy.  What a kid and I'm proud of her.  Summer, our neighbor across the lake, came to visit this afternoon and together they are amazing, ideas, giggles, doing stuff on the iphone and rearranging the furniture, you name it, it happens.

I've been cranking out appraisals and trying to stay ahead of the revision requests.  Not easy but its OK.

In general I'm feeling some better but still the coughing is there and always ready to rear its ugly and painful head, like right now as I write.

Enjoyed a call from Carol in North Carolina today.  She is preparing to travel here to California since her granddaughter is graduating from high school.  It was great to hear her voice.

Tomorrow is a huge day out in the field again.  Richmond at 9 am, then again at 10 am, then Antioch at noon and then Rio Vista in the afternoon.  In the evening we celebrate Kallie's big day, her 5th birthday.  How I wish I could slow down the process, they just grow up too fast.

Well here is hoping your life is going smoothly for a bit, smooth is good I guess.

Love to all

Springtime is great

So today has been mostly about work with a few moments to eat and enjoy the lake views.

I rolled out and went right to work, later I took a break and had my steel cut oats, a slice of toast with avocado and some raspberries.

At about 1 pm I left for an appointment in Fremont, a trip I can't even remember right now other than I went there, inspected a house which I'm sure will come to me as I think about it, well not yet.  OK, got it now, little house sat on a corner, guy had two puppies that are going to be very big dogs someday, the house was nice.  Then back to the office to crank yet another report out the door.

Things sort of just move past me in a blur these days, gradually regaining health with less coughing, fewer headaches and general well being creeping up on me.

Tomorrow Keanna comes to visit, that is always a good event as I love to see her, to catch up on what is happening with testing, her friends and school in general.  I still have a deep mound to dig out from, work, work work.

So now I bid you good night.

Love

So there goes the holiday.

Good evening,

Got to say this one really got to me, due to working all the time I'm less and less likely to spend time with anyone on a social basis.  I had a chance to talk with Janice today, she is my Antioch friend who worked in public education for years.  Her life is certainly busy right now with caring for both her mother and her father in law, both very old and very much in need of care.  Fortunately she has retired so she has the time to chase down all the various things they need done for them all the time.  Never complains and just is there for her people, very good trait, I enjoyed talking as I drove.

Today I throttled it back and only inspected three properties, first one in Concord.  The owner was an accountant and the place was perfect so that was fun, his daughter rides her horse in competition and her room is filled with toy horses, ribbons etc.

Then it was time to locate an infusion, Starbucks, the line was long but I chatted with Marilyn in Rhode Island for awhile.  It was great to catch up with her life, she mostly reads these days and helps care for James a teenager, need I say more.

My second stop was at a small ranch, single story home with a huge pool, RV parking, very nice and located in a part of Martinez where there are many nice homes, some even up to a couple million dollars.  I enjoyed these very solid people, just could tell they knew how to live and I found myself admiring the wife, not for the obvious reasons, no she was not pretty but just a force, knew the market, knew how to take care of things and they seemed like a really terrific couple, made me miss a life that I lost where I had a partner to work and play with, to plan holidays like the one that just slipped past.

So as the rain gently fell I turned the Civic toward Antioch and a tract home.  Once the lady came to the door she was concerned, said I was to be there last Friday but of course I had it on my calendar for today.  Eventually she relaxed and let me do the inspection.  Imagine my surprise when this evening I was looking over the records of what I had done on that street and I found I had done her house when it was newly constructed last August.  So I pulled up the old appraisal and that sure made it simple to complete the appraisal for today.  Its already at the lender now.

Jessy flies to Europe tomorrow so for the next 12 days I'm on my own, I can do this, just got to stay organized and not over commit to clients.  I often feel the Lord's help with challenges that arise. I would probably feel His help more if I would listen to His gentle voice.

Could I ask for your prayers for Dolly's husband Ken?  He fell recently and broke a hip, he is in the hospital in Napa and not doing all that well.  I know Dolly would appreciate our prayers for his quick recovery.

Sending love to all,  I will not be alone forever but I just need to have something to offer and I feel like I have little to offer, come watch me work night and day, listen to me cough etc.

Production day

So while the whole world enjoyed a holiday I found myself cranking out reports.  It has been a very good day with much of the back log now caught up.  Not that I'm there yet but I've accomplished so much today.

I've not left the house today other than to roll out the garbage in hopes that the nice garbage man will still come tomorrow.

Its been a rather lonely day, I did manage to catch up with my busy brother and discovered that he has not yet been able to plant his tomatoes for fear of a late frost, here I have tomatoes almost ready to turn red, dozens of them so far.  He did such a great job of planting them and they are growing rapidly.

For lunch today I took time to slice up a tomato, a store purchased one, I'm so ready for some real flavor!  I did a ear of corn in the microwave oven and warmed up green beans, it was a great lunch.

Plus I'm really enjoying some 21 grain bread I got at Costco.  Wow when toasted it is incredibly delicious with peanut butter and tomato or with avocado just spread like butter, so good.

This morning I woke with a burning determination to get things done.  I've done three loads of wash and its all dry and on the hanger ready for its journey back upstairs, the red rugs in the bathroom are clean and look great, my trusty towel is clean and ready for the next shower, all the soxs and shirts, shorts and slacks are ready.  Its so easy to do wash as its right by my office and it gives me a good reason to jump up and move instead of just sit by the hour.

Tomorrow I'm in Concord at 9 am, then onto Martinez for an inspection at 11 and finally to Antioch at 1.  Then its back here to crank out some more work.  What a huge blessing it is to have a comfortable office with good equipment, a fast internet connection and all the resources I need to work.

Sending love to all

Enjoy your holiday.

The Bug falters

This morning when I picked up Kallie for Sabbath School the bug refused to start again.  So I left it on the street and Steve let me take his new Accord, wow what a ride, enjoyed driving it, so many safety features, just amazing.

In the afternoon I arranged for Good Sam to tow the little bug to a repair place in Brentwood and when I checked this afternoon it was there waiting for the doctor on Tuesday.  It was a shock to have it fail after so many miles, 292,000 now and counting.  I think its a fuel pump or filter but of course I could be very wrong.

Right now I'm turning in,  still not feeling well but had a restful day.

Rough day

Good evening,

Just can't express how delighted that it is Friday and rest has arrived.  Today was a huge challenge as the coughing was bad with a vengeance.  This morning I had to travel over to Fairfield and the GPS really messed up, cost me an extra hour with its misguided directions, it put me on Highway 80, which was stop and go for miles, perhaps all the way to Tahoe.

I finally got there but was 45 minutes late, then it was fight my way back to Antioch where I saw a cute little doll house, selling for $125,000 and then on to Oakley where the house was plain but clean and for sale.  Finally I dragged myself home and I was so worn out that I think I could have fainted if I tried.

Just so glad that I've been blessed with a safe week, had loads of work, most of which Jessy has finished and on my desk ready for my hour or so to completed and ship.  She has been very busy as well with her night job of dispatching picc nurses and her counseling at San Quentin on Thursday nights.  Next Tuesday she leaves for 12 days in Europe with her mother, can you guess how much I'll miss her help!

For now, love to all

Some days just challenge us!

Good evening

Up early and at my Hayward appointment slightly after 10.  How I dislike measuring townhomes that are narrow, this one was 15 feet wide and three stories high.  I would not like to live there, every move involves the stairs, yuk!  Place was OK but $410K for such a tiny place, no thanks.

Once I finally finished this one I moved on to a very old home in Oakland.  There I met a really nice elderly gentleman and enjoyed his beautifully maintained older home.  That was until I got ready to take my attic photo,  the opening in the middle of the house was about 2 and 1/2 feet wide, had a ladder nailed to the back wall, had nails driven partially in so things could be hung, things like an appraisers arm, an arm filled with blood thinner.  I could hardly get through the entry and then I started up one rung at a time, had to turn sideways to clear the nails, started to feel very small and I wavered wondering if I really should be doing this, but then a Mustard trait kicked in.  It needed to be done, no one else was around to do it, so I just muscled myself up and up until I could push away the wood covering the opening at the top, reached up with my camera, shot the photo, checked the photo and started back down.  Coming down was worse and I had some tense moments hoping I was not ripping open my arms, I could see the blood gushing!  Soon I was at the bottom, I squeezed out and then I was free.  No blood, no nail punctures.  The owner said he was real proud of me for trying.

The air outside felt especially nice.

Just another adventure in the life of super appraiser Tim.

But the day was not over...........

When I finally drove in Jessy was just finishing up on my computer, she uses it to put my photos into the finished appraisal.

When I sat down I found the computer screen dominated by a huge warning and flashing messages.  Knowing what I was seeing I called Jim, my trusty IT guy.  Three hours later he finally got rid of the nasty mess that someone in Africa had dreamed up.  Of course that's a couple hundred dollars to Jim.

Turns out that this one is linked to a message suggesting that one needs to upgrade a program, a regular program we all use and when its gets triggered the mess rushes in.

As a matter of normal life I never click on anything that suggests it has upgrades for me, just to many times its a mess.

Well I managed to finish up one appraisal using Jessys computer so the afternoon and evening was not a total loss but close to it.

Now its bed time.  I think I've earned it.

Love to all

Splitting head

Not feeling so well tonight, forgive me for saying very little.

Short night, worked until midnight, then animals woke me several times, alarm woke me at 6.

8:am appointment in Brentwood, lovely home, then on to Rio Vista, a very interesting little town where I inspected an older home, built in 1946.  The agent was very helpful, nice guy, sort of eager.

Then back home to work, then pickup Keanna,

we had a nice afternoon, I worked, she played, did stuff on the ipad, watched TV, munched on popcorn, so did Jessy.

Jessy and I both cranked hard until I had to leave at 4:30 to take Keanna to tap dance where I waited under some shade trees until she was done, then we ate at Jalisco's a local mexican food place, then back home so I could work more, Nikki came at 9:30, Kallie had been at swim meet and was very pleased with how she did in the water, its a long ordeal but the kids come out of it really strong swimmers, a gift for life.

Good night

Excellent day

Good evening, its late and I'm on my way to catch some Zs.

I'm gradually feeling better but still coughing at the worst moments.  I managed to see nice homes in Livermore where a very clever Bull Dog was in residence and then a home in San Jose that was beautiful but so overpriced.  I won't be able to support its 1.5 million price tag.  people will not be happy but there is nothing that has sold that high in the whole area.

Now I'm home and have just shipped out one that thanks to the help of Jessy took a very short time to get out the door.  She continues to amaze in how quickly she learns.

Got to talk to Jason, Nikki and Art today which made it a very good day.

Sending love to all

In Brentwood at 8 in the morning and then 10 in Rio Vista, then back to pick up Keanna at 1:15 and take her to dance later on.  It will be another good day.

Can the days get any longer? Still, home safely and accomplished.

Dear Family and Friends,

Rolled out at 6 after a very strange night with lots of dreaming, scary stuff, chasing bad guys, perhaps to many spy books during the day.

Came down to do reseach for the day and take care of conditions which always seem to pile up.

Left at 11:05 and arrive in Vallejo by the bay to see the first of the day, little nasty dogs, had to avoid their bite.

Then to try to get in where the people did not want me to come in.  They had agreed but would not answer the door, just kept texting me asking things I had no answer to.  Finally I just left, they kept texting all afternoon.

Then the next one was a lock box, very nice, older but really fixed up nicely.  It was hot for that one.

The next one was also on a lock box and a nosey neighbor kept dogging my steps as I measured, wanted to know selling price etc.  Of course I could not tell him anything, kept wondering why he was not at work instead of smoking on his front porch.

Once that one was done I found a Starbucks and got a cracker and fruit with cheese lunch, very good.

Then on to American Canyon which is in Napa county, driveby only and finally it was done.

Headed home for the golf course here in Discovery Bay, hard time geting through the gate but finally she relented.

Home and a griller at about 8 pm.  Now headed for bed.  So beat, can't believe it.

Feeling better but still coughing a lot.  using the inhaler when I feel the coughing and wheezing coming on, it helps.

Good night to one and all,

Love

I've turned the corner

Last night was awful, from midnight until about 3 am I was awake, coughing and attempting to self treat with the Thermaphore on both my chest and my head, choking down cough medicine and even making tea with honey.'

Once I got up this morning I found the number for the nurse and called Kaiser, soon I had a doctor call visit for 9 am.  The visit by phone went very well and by 10 I was at the Antioch hospital picking up meds.  As soon as I left the pharmacy I walked directly to the cafe, ordered a cheese omelet and took the first two of the antibiotics to get the healing process started.

This afternoon my dear friend Sylvia drove out to see me, she brought some food for a future meal and we chatted and eventually she created a nice fruit salad for both of us and we ate on the back deck and watched the sun set.  Her coming was a huge boost for my morale and she helped me understand my meds better.

I've slept lots today and taken it very easy, the christian dish programing has been great and provided a background for my napping.

I'm better tonight and I've very thankful for the good help from Kaiser, from Sylvia and from a loving heavenly Father who watches over us. Am I out of the woods, no, not by any means but I'm better and that is vital.

Sending love to all,

Tim

Wasted

Finally this very long week of long hours, multiple inspections, thousands of miles driven, its over.

I'm just thankful for the safety and for being able to keep going.

Tonight I'm running a low grade fever, the lungs are feeling full, the sinus cavity is draining, tried to find a time to see the doctor but no luck today, been working, seen two this morning, then home to work, then to Clayton for a very nice property tucked in a private space by a stream with a pebbletec pool and a beautiful home.  Then back home to work and deal with conditions.  Download a new version of my software and back to work again.

Here is hoping that you will have a super weekend and that you get to catch up with those you love and have some laughs together.

Sending love

Keanna's open house

Another good day, started early, hit the road at 10:30 for a traffic free trip to Fremont where I found a cute little house, very compact, only about 1,000 sf and its a 3 bedroom and 2 bath home.  If you live there you'd need to like each other, I think I have about 400 sf in my motorhome.  Sold for over $400K.  Depends where it is located value wise.

Then it was on to San Jose for an ontime arrival at a very nice home.  The owner is a real artist and the home reflects her great taste.  Beautiful, updated and selling for a lot of money, over $700,000 and the comps will easily support the sales price.

Then a quick stop at Subway for lunch and to the next house.  These wise people did a "remodel" instead of building a "new" home.  They kept a bit of the foundation and built a new 3200 sf home of the highest quality, its a master piece.  The former home was old and about 1,300 sf.  The owners warned me in advance of there being a new home there and emailed some plans.  using the plans I was able to quickly measure the home, write down its amazing features.  Finding comps proved more difficult but I'm thinking about 1.7 million or so.

Then it was the battle with traffic from the Mission district all the way to Livermore, we moved at 5 to 20 mpg for most of that part of the trip and it caused me to be later than expected for Keanna's openhouse at her school.  We got to see some of her artwork, see her desk, watch her do a little experiment with a D battery, a wire that grows very hot as its connected to the poles of the battery and then watched as she used the hot wire to cut through some soft material.  She has had a super year, loves her teacher, is in the honors class and most of all loves to read, she is now on her 6th volume of Harry Potter series, not the easiest books to read.  A book is with her at all times whereever she is, even tonight at Boardwalk as we had a late dinner.

I'm sorry to report that my cough and the chest congestion, the nasal issues are all with me, I feel lousy and have a headache by 8 am in the morning from the coughing.  If I could only find time to get in to see a doctor, that would be wonderful.

So I'm sending love to all, once again a safe day with no mishaps.  The little car is doing great so mostly all is well.

Good day

How can it be bad when Jessy comes to work hard all day, when Keanna comes to visit and then later Kallie comes to visit.

This evening since Steve was stuck in night school I was the substitute for Kallie at her Father Daughter special evening at her school.  What fun we had, they had seeded the sand box with coins and before the evening was over Kallie had found 6 coins, other children were happy with 1.  She taught herself how to sift the sand and just watch.  We ran the obstable course and I almost did not make it, there are moments when being heavy just does not work.

Earlier we had gone to McDonalds for her dinner, then to Subway for mine and then to Safeway so the bug could get its fill of diesel.  Only got 42 mpg this time, 520 miles on the tank.

Tomorrow I'm off to Fremont and then San Jose for two inspections, then back for Keanna's open house at her school.

Tonight the wind is howling outside but I'm hoping for a very nice night of sleep and rest.  I'm still feeling rough and the coughing is pretty painful.  I'm disappointed that I'm having to deal with it again, just hope it does not cause my heart to misfire again and have to go through all of that.

Sending love to all,

Tim

In the valley today

Good evening
I'm gradually recovering but the coughing was really awful last night.  I was awake much of the night, just was not sleepy, not sure why but I hope for a different outcome tonight.  I had to get up and close the slider because at 2 am the birds were just going crazy in the tree outside my window, I felt malice toward the whole flock!

This morning I reluctantly rolled out morning at 7 after a terrible night.  I ended up watching an episode of NCIS LA and Castle and was still wide awake but forced myself back to bed at around 2:30.

This morning I worked after a quick breakfast until 9:55 when I left for Acampo.  I arrived within 5 minutes of target and found a really nice home on 5 acres with a large barn shop, a pool, good landscaping and a fun family of decent people.  Once I located the comparable, spread over a 5 mile radius, then I turned for Modesto.  I had two to see there but for one the lawyer who is having me do the work has failed to give me an access phone number.  I knocked on the door but could not raise anyone today so shot the comps and will have to do the interior another day.  The other one was great, nice place, the owner sells glassware that Gallo Wine makes in their own factory to other wine makers.  He was pleasant and his home was in good shape.

I just sort of dragged myself from one appointment to the next.  I had a pretty good book on the ipod so that helps pass the time.  The little beetle just keeps running along, turned 191,000 today and has 525 miles on this tank and a little yellow light which reminds me I only have about 30 miles before fueling.  I had planned to find a Kaiser to see if I could get medical help but there was not enough time to fit it in.

Still busy, still thankful for safety in travel and OK with life.

A sad note, Steve Ahn's mother passed away this week.  Sylvia has cared for her with regular visits for years.  Even though she was not totally aware of her surroundings Sylvia and the boys have been great in their support and love for her.  She lived well into her 90s and was a great little lady, always so proud of her only son Steve.

Love to all,

Tim

Another big one

Up at 6:30, nice cool morning, shower, eat banana and bowl of cereal, blood sugar not too bad.

Finish appraisal and ship out

Leave at 9:30 for Richmond, see semi dump with pretty face, someone will love it, then leave for Benicia,  great house, nice people, deep and beautiful waterfall and Koi pond, really nice,

Starbucks stop for multi grain bagle and sugar free drink, then make beeline for San Leandro, traffic not bad, this place was really weak for just $316,000, finish and then turn toward Tracy, Traffic awful the entire trip, arrive nearly an hour late, easy to measure, box on a box, then head to Fremont, reverse commute, no traffic quick trip, arrive only 30 minutes late, husband commutes on a neat little bike, 32 miles a day, house was great, landscaping special, shoot comps.

By now coughing is pretty bad, head splitting, just don't think about it, buy M&Ms and almonds for trip home, arrive home at about 9 pm.

Computer not working right, some dumb idea by Windows as put "In Private" on all my efforts to use programs, some don't even work with it added to the mix but can't figure out how to turn it off, not good.  We worked last night from 10:30 to 11 and Jim thought he had it gone but its on right now.  Machines, errrr.

Love to all,

Tomorrow Acampo and Modesto.

Jessy came and wrote several up today, what a huge help that is.

Recovering

Today was better than yesterday and I've napped several times.  I've also gotten some work out and have research completed for tomorrow, I see 6 tomorrow, Richmond, Benicia, San Leandro, Tracy and then Fremont.  It will be quite a day.

I've been using the thermaphore, the wet heat pad sold by the ABC store.  It seems to be helping but I'm so tired and feel really rough still.

Sending love to all,

Tim

Is it really over?

I'm sitting here in shock, the work week has come to an end, I've battled multiple phone calls, hundreds of emails, driven several hundred miles, seen 10 million dollars worth of property and most of the week I was ill.

I've not had a really carefree moment or thought all week as its just been try to keep working and avoid falling over or driving off the road.  I can't wait to rest and I'm heading there now.

While I'm so thankful for a way of making a living trying to keep up with the dozens of orders I have right now is more than stressful, its way over the top.  Not sure how to turn it around but I know I need to get well first and foremost.

Might even try to reach a doctor tomorrow at kaiser if I can.  I think Kallie and I are coming to Sabbath School and then driving to Stockton for lunch with friend Bob at the Olive Garden.  Will be great to see him.

Love to all

Rough day

There were times I doubted I'd make it through today.  I've felt pretty rough for days and today was even worse with little sleep, allergies and chest congestion, rough.

Bed at midnight after the huge report, then up at 6 so I could do research for today.  First house at 9, cold and foggy outside which led to downright chilly conditions, large home, over 3200 sf and a little lady lives there alone.

Next to Starbucks for breakfast and that felt very good.  Then to see a duet with the cutest senior I've seen in some time, lovely woman with class in decorations, landscaping, clothes, just a neat lady and she loves county music too.  Jessy would have liked her.

Fremont came next and I was really feeling awful but made it through, then to the Livermore Kaiser where I purchased needed meds, then home to do quick fixes for a couple reports, then to an appointment locally, but of course no one had informed the security gate of my coming so I could not get in, wasted a hour, drove home, then the lady called to ask me to go back, I did and waited another 30 minutes, finally as I was leaving she got the gate open and I was able to inspect a very messy rental, nice family but what a mess, yikes.  Finally at about 7 I was finally home to stay, so tired, so much work to get done, so discouraged.

Good night

Finished a big one

This will be very brief.  Its 11 and I have to be in Blackhawk tomorrow morning at 9 am to see a house that I have not even researched yet.  Counting on getting up early and doing the research for tomorrow.

This has been a huge day of doing revisions and writing new things.  I've felt really awful with a very congested chest and a fever.  I just kept at it and got a lot done.

Kallie came at 1:30 and was so quiet and helpful, so cute in her little curls too.  Then Keanna came at 2:30 and they were both very good while they did their homework etc.

So now I'm saying good night, it is actually.

Dead tired

This will be short,

Climbed out at 6, saw 4 properties starting at noon, home at 10:15.  Last two homes were incredible.  3600 sf in Lafayette, stunning house.

6600 sf in Alamo, even more stunning and so huge, shot comps up till dark, then stumbled home via Olive Garden, needed something to eat.

Now home, and bed is next.

Dodging the rain clouds

Good evening

Well today started at 5 am.  Having not completed a lot of work yesterday I decided I needed to do my best to get some completed this morning.  So thanks to Jessy who had prewritten them I was able to ship out two, do the research for 5 appraisals today and be in Stockton at 9:45.  It was a big one and took awhile, then it was off to Oakland to a very nice updated property near Berkeley, lovely home and the owner works for Pixar, interesting visit.

Then it hit, I suddenly did not feel well at all and it took awhile for that to pass.  I finally found a gas station and purchased some stomach medicine.  By the time I reached the next property in Pittsburg I was feeling some better.  This one was a townhome, filled with possessions and I was there having been given the door code.  when I opened the garage door a little puppy shot into the house and it was a real battle to get him returned to the garage, I was glad to leave and move on.

The next stop was at the home office for a brief moment and then I was off to Tracy.  Once that one was over I headed to Discovery Bay for a 6 pm appointment.  When I pulled up I realized that I had seen the property when they purchased it so that one went faster.  What a nice house it was, perfect in every way and improved since I had seen it last.

Then finally I could head home, how nice to walk in knowing the day had been safe, successful, that I had dodged the rain all day.

Now its bed time once again.

Love to all

Home safely

It was a really enjoyable time in spite of the heat on Sabbath and the high winds this morning over breakfast, of course there was the problem with loud campers next door that talked into the wee hours of the morning but over all it was great.  Anytime we get to fellowship together, to worship together and chat with old old friends, its a good thing.

Now its back to work and by the time I pulled out trailers, then backed other ones in and finally got everything unloaded and put away the day was shot.  But tonight everything is parked where it is supposed to be.  Steve's enclosed trailer was incredible, just a great help to get two paddle boats there and back without any trouble.

So heres hoping we have a great week coming up.  For me I'm sore, sunburned a few places, tired from doing so much physical activity, wow am I tired.  I do expect to sleep very well, back in my own bed.

It was so great to spend time with Jason and Jo and kiddos.  There were all great campers and Mia and Timothy experienced sleeping in a tent for the first time I think.  How exciting for them.

I do regret sending out four blog messages on Friday night.  With the very limited service I could not tell that I had sent it out, got no feed back, just glad it made its way out to each of you.

Camping out

I'm writing from lake mcswain this evening. Most of the group are here. I'm waiting for Jason and Jo and kiddos. I've had texts but they won't be here fo awhile.
My trip up was in eventful, however as I was backing in I hit the hillside and did minor damage to the coach. Bummer!

I am sitting at the table having just had a sandwich and some juice. I found a Christian station to play to break the silence. It's nice to be away and at this beautiful place.

Jessy was very helpful today in helping get things ready,

So thankful for a safe trip and $3.49 fuel at Costco in Tracy. About .25 per gallon less than discovery bay!!

Well I'm told that AT&T people were here at the lake all day. So this year we service!

Busy and productive day

Dear Family and Friends,

Just back from seeing a play in Stockton this evening with friend Bob, we had dinner and then enjoyed a very energetic show that kept the audience laughing.

During the day I inspected two properties, one in Mountain House and then one in Tracy.  Mountain House property had clothes hanging everywhere to dry after hand washing I guess.  The owners had just returned from a trip to Germany and had taken 1,000 photos.  Interesting people

Once I returned from Tracy I set to work and Jessie had been hard at work too.  We are making progress on many files.

In the morning I leave at 9 for Concord where I see a rush appraisal of a little house.  Then its on to San Francisco for a noon appointment, then its back to Antioch for a 2 pm appointment, then to the office briefly before heading to Hayward for a 6:30 appointment.  Crazy schedule but it all depends on when owners can actually be at the homes to see me.

So I'm sending love to all,

Good night

Tim
