Girls go to Sabbath School

How I love to greet Keanna and Kallie on Sabbath morning, they are dressed in their cute little dresses, have smiles on their faces and Nikki has them ready to go.

This morning they climbed into the Civic which is the car I drive when I carry the girls anywhere.  We moved through various emotions, I love you sissy to stop kicking me, the usual and then we arrived.  Keanna is understandably shy about walking into a room with kids she does not know very well but the fact that Sylvia was there lured her in.  Sylvia is an incredible person with plenty of love in her heart for all the little ones and tonight she is flying to Mexico for a mission trip which will last two weeks.

Kallie was one of two children in her Sabbath School and Kim was the teacher.  Luke, Loren and Emilies grandson was the other little one.  We all really had a good time and Kim did a great job with the shepherd - David story.  Of course the kids favorite moment is the gold fish crackers and snack time.

Afterwards we went to McDonalds and the girls sat and ate their meal without any issues.  Then we drove home where Nikki was ready to take them to a birthday party this afternoon at Black Diamond.  I drifted home after that and had another nice blood sugar reading later in the afternoon, this time it was 91, a whole lot better than 175 which it has been often enough lately.  I napped in my work chair, then had dinner with Lois and Ray at a local burrito place.  Later in the evening Ray and I drove back to the Cornfest and heard a very loud band perform, Great White, they are really very good musicians but of course it was loud.  They have been playing since the 80s and started in LA way back then.  They played their hearts out and hung around afterwards to do autographs.  We saw LeAnn briefly and she said Ken did not come home last night from his labors until 2 am.  They are working very hard and so far it seems to be a great success with lots of tickets sold and the booths seemed busy cranking out corn, corn dogs, chili, funnel cakes and a whole lot of other things.  Cornfest is a huge production and its amazing to see all that goes into it.  It lasts until tomorrow evening and then they start the process of taking it all away.  It is done for charity and they often can donate thousands of dollars to various charities that help people locally.  I'm so proud of Ken and LeAnn for the work they do every year.  Little Brentwood really comes alive.

Tomorrow morning once again I'll wade into producing work, plus I'll be meeting the last renters to trade a few things they left for money, a key and new chairs that were stolen.  I'll also need to drive the motorhome back home at some point and get it parked away beside the house.  It will be a full and good day.

I've heard some really challenging talks this weekend on the dish, affirming of faith in a very good Lord who cares more than any of us do.

So love to all tonight,

Tim
