Enjoying a beautiful day

Some people like to sit and read, others like to sit and watch TV, well for me fun is driving an hour, seeing and great house, meeting the people, drive the neighborhood and then move on,     and     get paid to do so.

I started in Brentwood, saw a great house that the people just moved into yesterday but now they are doing a loan to replace the cash they spent on it.  Had so much fun with them and the wonderful 3,100 sf home, all one story!

Orinda was the next stop, older home with large site, pool and great people.  Just lost a restaurant that they've owned for many years, new property owner raised the rent 3 times what they were paying, took the last of the profit out of the operation.  Very sad, so many people are hurting yet Washington continues to see small business as the enemy instead of the answer, very hard to cope when one sees the mess big government is causing.

Then it was back to Brentwood to Diggers, a funny little cafe for a garden burger, then home for a bit and finally off to Mountain House, tenant occupied but perfect condition, nice lady so enjoyable visit.

Finally back home to fix elbow macaroni with mushroom soup, peas, tomato, cottage cheese.  So good in spite of who fixed it.

Now its bed time and I'm worn out.  But oh how nice to measure homes in sunshine, what a great time of the year.

Tomorrow Steve and I head to Oakland for an all day seminar, we need to be there at 8:30 so we will leave around 7.  Who enjoys sitting all day?  Not us but we will get hours we need toward our license renewal and we will learn, need to stay on the cutting edge right now to hold our own.  So proud of the young people I work with.  Steve is doing a brilliant job with his reports, they are tight, well written and carefully researched, pretty amazing.  Jessie, who helps in the office, has become a very good writer and has helped a lot with preparing appraisals for my final tweaking.  Several times this week her help has meant getting things out on time versus not getting them completed.  She will be here writing tomorrow while we are in the seminar.

Love to all,

Tim
