At Peace

Dear Family and Friends,
The most enchanting hour of the week!  Kallie came to visit at 4:30 this afternoon.  This time it was just Kallie as Keanna was busy with her mother at a party.  Kallie came in, asked to feed Starr a treat, played quietly with her toys, got the DVD player out and inserted a DVD and enjoyed watching it.  We talked, I listened she told her her opinions on many things, oh the very special magic wisdom of a 2 year old, what precious minutes with this delightful child.  I just marveled at how enjoyable it was to observe and interact with her.  What a huge blessing to have Kallie in our lives.

Tomorrow morning we will attend Sabbath School in Tracy and then I'll take the girls to Olive Garden for lunch.  Then it will be home for Kallie to have a nap and perhaps Pappa can have a little nap also.  Nikki and Steve are having a day to themselves at a motorcross event somewhere and I'm delighted to be able to help out by watching the girls.  Young parents have far too few chances to have a day to enjoy.

I've had a fire burning for the last couple days.  Its been cold all day today here, up to about 40 degrees at the warmest.  And the wood fire keeps an even heat flowing into the room.  Plus it is just fun to make sure it keeps hot and burning slowly from piece of wood to the next piece.  Perhaps its a guy thing, just the fun to make and keep a fire going.

It looks good for renting the motorhome to at least two parties in the summer months.  One family is going to be gone for 22 days and the other family wants to take a trip to Eugene.  They will be sending in their deposits soon which will help cover the cost of caring for the motorhome.  In spite of a very slow week I do feel grateful for the work I've had to do.  Its been special to have Keanna come to visit three afternoons this week, the place seems less lonely when she is around.

Well the call just came in from Ken so we walk in the morning at 6:30.  That means getting to bed soon.
Its very nice to have the Sabbath hours once again, weekends are for people to care about people.  What a privilege we have to live in America, a land that in spite of its problems which are serious remains a very special place to call home.

Love to all

Tim
