Pappa Day Care

Fun stuff, I would never have imagined years ago that I could handle caring for a 3 year old and an 8 year old on my own for the day. But the girls make it easy.  They are so full of life, energy, ideas, battle and cuteness it is great.  We started the day this morning when I arrived at 8:50 to find the girls dressed, hair perfect and they were helping Steve plant seeds in a device for starting plants.  He carefully guided the girls in planting until it was all completed, each row was labeled and he had everything in order.  Amazing.  Nikki was long gone back to work at the twins sale in Pleasanton so once the planting was completed we left for Sabbath School.  Keanna went her way to be with Sylvia, Rod and Wes and Kallie guided me to her place where Kim was in charge.

We had an interesting time with lots of singing and activities including a craft and snacks.  The after a brief visit with Dr. George and with Sylvia we headed out.  Keanna had made Kallie her hot chocolate like she always does and we loaded up.  We drove the few miles to Olive Garden and were nearly the first people there.  Holding it all together with the girls through a whole meal is always a challenge but we walked out an hour later full and happy.

We drove to the girls home where Kallie went to bed for her nap and Keanna played and planned.  Then it was the park for some fun in the sunshine.  Then it was back to the house where the ice cream truck made a stop and $5 later we were all enjoying a treat.  Nikki arrived home a little later and then I turned the responsibility of the girls over to their very capable mother and I drove home.  I've spend the evening catching up on old CSIs from Las Vegas and enjoyed them along with an episode of  Blue somthing about New York cops, love that show.

Now its bed time and I'm thankful for such a great day with the girls, last week it was with Mia and Timothy and today it is with Kallie and Keanna. What a huge blessing these little ones are!  They really light up life in a way that nothing or no one else can do.

Love to all,

Tim
ps a special thanks to George and Yvonne who several weeks ago handed us a sack that was filled with a variety of things that the girls have enjoyed.  One very nice thing is a set of CDs with stories by Eric B Hare.  The girls are enjoying the stories very much and ask me to turn the sound up when we are driving.  I love it as the stories all support obeying ones parents and being honest and true.  Thanks
