Dolly

This afternoon was one of those rare occasions when just being a part of this human race makes sense.

Bart and Julie, Dolly's son and daughter threw her a lunch today in Napa that turned out so well.  It was just great to be there.  Dolly looks wonderful for being 80 and has a quick wit, great humor and a heart of love for everyone.  Her devotion to her Lord is strong and very deep.  This afternoon family, long time friends and newer friends came together at 1 pm to celebrate this special day for her.  she looked great, was full of charm and wit and enjoyed the accolades of us all.

Bart who is a recording musician shared some music and Dolly even joined in one especially nice song.  The food was great both for Vegans and regular folk, the tables were decorated with live flowers and I think everyone enjoyed themselves very much.  I was honored to ask the blessing and in that blessing I thanked God for His love as shown through Dolly over the years.

It was cold but beautiful day and the trip up to Napa and back was a pleasure.

This morning before I left I wrote an appraisal and shipped it out just before leaving.  It was very cold last night and I see it is already 34 tonight so are experiencing some unusually cold weather for California.  Kitties and dog are safely locked inside for the evening, just too cold for older animals out on a night like this.

Jason reported that Timothy is some better but still has a cough as does Jo.  Lets just keep them in our prayers, they do not have an easy life right now and face daily challenges.  I'm so proud of my 4 adult children and their 4 kiddos.

So love to all,

Tim
