Spin Class - what a blast

Dear Family, Friends and onlookers,

I'm just back from enduring 45 minutes of intense exercise in a room that is chilled to 60 degrees and populated by young things half my age or less.  Yet I just keep going back for more.  Kim is a real cheerleader and does a great job of moving all of us to do our best.  Since I located the bike shorts in the drawer, who knows what year Nan bought them, the class is more enjoyable.  The shorts have padding in crucial places and are very welcome.

Keanna came to visit this afternoon.  She put a couple little blankets on the floor and Starr spent the whole time with her in front of the roaring fire.  Keanna watched a DVD, feasted on popcorn, did her homework and wrapped Christmas presents, purchases that she made today at her school from a special store.  As usual she was full of energy, ideas, sass and smiles.  What a kid.

Several orders arrived today which is always nice to deal with and more money arrived in the mail, a good thing.  For the first time in a long time I've been putting money into a saving account in hopes the mortgage company will eventually extend an offer that I can live with.  So far they just say no to everything.

In spite of the rain and gloomy weather the season is bringing beautiful visitors to the lake, today Snowy Egrets were everywhere and other birds that land and then dive down to feed under the water's surface.  There were hundreds of them making the lake scene very interesting.

Are you enjoying the season, the music, the beautiful specials on TV, the family contacts?  I hope so.  Life is really a short period in the span of history where we get to make decisions, react to others decisions, reach out to touch lives with smiles and hope, find silver linings on rough times or we can just let the gloom engulf us and drown the God given spark of joy and excitement each day brings.  In our lifetimes we have made horrible blunders, missed great opportunities, squandered relationships and yet we are here, today, tomorrow and beyond.  What will we do with the now?  How would God like to use us to help things be better for others?

Love

tim
